Our mission is to preserve Southside, Virginia's cultural heritage. This includes preserving its historical structures, its history, its genealogical heritage, and its Christian heritage. Having acquired historic St. James Chruch in Boydton, we intend to use this venue in this mission. Our long term goal is to work with other local historic organizations in this endeavor. Ultimately, we envision the restoration of additional historic structures, such as Lombardy Grove Tavern, ultimately establishing a network of restored and preserved historic Southside, Virginia sites and assisting in their continued preservation. We look forward to working with other local historic preservation groups in this endeavor.
